Preparation Steps
Start by preparing the bread bowls. Cut off the tops of the loaves and hollow out the insides, leaving about an inch of bread around the edges. Set aside the removed bread for serving or snacks.
In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Add broccoli florets to the pot along with the broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until broccoli is tender, about 10 minutes.
